Networking company Madge has launched a range of enterprise-class products for deploying, protecting and securing wireless Lan installations.

The security and management benefits include an enhanced version of Enterprise Access Server, a third-generation intrusion detection system, and dual-radio wireless enterprise-class network access points.

Madge Enterprise Access Server manages the deployment and protection of the wireless network. Features include support for "zero-configuration" installation and management of the latest enterprise wireless infrastructure from suppliers such as 3Com, Cisco and Proxim as well as Madge.

Madge Wireless Enterprise Access Server provides centralised management for the wireless network, administers the security, wireless devices and interfaces between the wireless and wired network. It also provides a range of integrated functions that usually require separate installation and management, such as Radius server, firewalls, wired and wireless integration and digital certificates.
