FPD Savills wanted to replace its ageing Siemens telephone systems to build a seamless communication platform across its London offices, and provide a platform to connect its UK office network.
Using integrator Azzurri Systems, an Avaya S8700 communications server to run IP telephony across each office was chosen to future-proof planned expansion.
IP telephony is software-based technology that uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to transmit voice as data over a computer network.
Businesses are adopting this rapidly emerging technology, which can include features such as call forwarding, conferencing, voice messaging and other applications, to enhance the capability of their communication network and reduce costs.
Steve Brooks, director at FPD Savills, said, “Customer service is key to us, so having resilience and improved integration with our IT systems will ensure that we can deliver an exceptional level of service to our customers.
“We selected the Avaya S8700 solution from Azzurri as it provides all of this, plus it has the scalability that we require for our future growth plans.”
