Busy IT staff get business skills online

Bill Goodwin
Busy IT professionals who want to brush up on their business skills could benefit from a new online training service.

The Passports for Business Success service is offered by online training company Trainer1 for people who do not have time to attend formal courses.

The courses present nuggets of information drawn from best industry practice, covering topics from reducing costs to leadership skills to selecting quality staff.

"These courses will give IT staff a compressed view," said Neil Lasher, managing director of Trainer1. "Instead of buying 10 books for one subject, you spend the same money and access 50 subjects whenever you need to."
