"EMC's expanded portfolio of end-to-end services is designed to help customers reduce their operational costs, reduce risk, achieve compliance and improve availability by effectively managing information in a way that ties its varying usefulness to business goals and service levels," said Alex Robertson, technology solutions group manager at EMC.
Services from EMC help customers to understand and achieve Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) by more effectively using an environment of tiered networked storage platforms with advanced information storage management software.
The latest offerings include ILM workshops to help customers to understand the basics of an infrastructure that enables management of information from creation through archiving or disposal.
EMC said workshops will be conducted at a customer site or at EMC. The service also incorporates ILM Assessment Services, which help customers validate the potential benefits of information lifecycle management. Each assessment would be completed in four to six weeks and result in an ILM roadmap.
EMC also offers storage managed services to provide customers with fixed-term, service level-driven, on-site storage management to help them achieve ILM to improve efficiency and drive down costs.
