BCS charity offers online advice on RSI

Online guidance on adapting PCs to help users avoid injury is being offered by BCS charity AbilityNet. The service, My Computer My Way, shows users how to set up Windows options.

"Nearly 5.5 million days are lost in sick leave every year because of injuries related to repetitive strain," said AbilityNet chief executive Shuna Kennedy. "The symptoms can be treated by changing your workplace set-up.

"Every user has different needs based on their height, weight, age and any disabilities, yet their computer may have the standard settings. Even the simplest adjustments can make computer use easier."
