German utility plans 55,000-seat SAP deployment

German utility company E.ON will use a suite of products from SAP, including software tailored for the utility industry.

German utility company E.ON will use a suite of products from SAP, including software tailored for the utility industry.

E.ON has selected mySAP Business Suite with several integrated products to provide a unified software platform across the group's units in Europe and the US.

The integrated software includes customer relationship management, strategic enterprise management and enhanced enterprise resource planning software.

Also included is mySAP Utilities, a product designed specifically for companies in the utility sector. The utility product offers a range of industry-specific applications such as energy data management, device management, billing, real-time pricing and contract accounting.

E.ON plans to deploy the technology in more than 55,000 seats in the group's European and US operations.
