Hutchison and Reuters sign mobile content deal

Hutchison 3G has signed an agreement with Reuters to supply news and financial information for its next-generation mobile broadband service.

Under the agreement, Hutchison, which operates under the "3" brand, will offer its 3G mobile broadband customers access to news stories, news archives, companies and markets news and investor data fees.

The information will be immediately accessible from the 3 home page on the handset and updated in real time via a live feed from Reuters.

In December, Hutchison announced a promotional scheme to preregister customers for its 3G service, to be launched early this year.
