Separate retail event to run alongside CTS

The organiser of the Computer Trade Show is looking to separate the retail and trade elements of the event next year to offer more focus.

Justin Opie, portfolio communications director at Imark Communication, argued there was a need to clearly define the 2003 event.

"There is a small retail component to the show and for the purposes of clarity, we want to launch a separate event," he commented.

But the exhibitions will remain co-located and the Comms Dealer Expo will again run side by side with CTS, although there will be no through door between the halls.

The latest development comes after a lacklustre CTS in 2001 failed to capture the imagination of the industry, prompting Imark to co-run with Comms Dealer Expo this year.
