Coda ships first Analyst package since Baan split

Coda has announced the first order for its Coda-Analyst EBI (Enterprise Business Intelligence) package from UK timber product distributor Timbmet, writes Eric Doyle.

Dave Turner, international marketing manager for Coda, says, "The decision to buy from Coda rather than SAP or JD Edwards was driven from the information access angle. Timbmet has a complex relationship between stocks and costing and the management needs to be able to access a detailed breakdown over short periods."

Timbmet's financial director John Dobson says another consideration was the stability that Coda has gained through its recent acquisition from Baan by Science Systems Group.

Coda-Analyst EBI works in conjunction with Coda's Financials, Procurement and Assets modules, which also formed part of the £100,000 deal.
