Oil exploration company Total Oil Marine is upgrading its three-year-old SAP-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system under a £200,000 deal with systems integrator Morse.

The supplier is moving the ERP system from its existing Hewlett-Packard Unix-based infrastructure to large mid-range HP N4000 and L1000 servers. Total Oil Marine has already carried out a trial upgrade by installing a copy of its production database onto the new system.
