IT outpaces the economy

IT budgets grew 18% in the last quarter of 1999 soaring ahead of overall economic growth, which stood at 3%.

The latest Computer Weekly/Kew Associates IT spending survey reveals that companies are investing heavily in e-commerce and related technologies.

Budgets earmarked for e-commerce are set to double in 2000, and spending on telecoms services is growing fast.
