Trustmarque increase Kirklees Council mobility
VAR Trustmarque has implemented a Unified Communications platform at Kirklees Council, in addition to consolidating the council's software licensing to a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA). The project was aimed at increasing the mobility of the council's workforce.

Novell's got that Vibe
Novell has announced the beta version of its Novell Vibe platform. Available as cloud-based or on-premise solution, the Novell Vibe includes the vendor's Pulse collaboration platform and existing Novell Teaming suite aimed at helping employees collaborate their work more. Vibe invites colleagues and partners to be invited into one workspace to finish work projects faster.

FalconStor enters agreement with HP Enterprise Services
Storage vendor FalconStor has partnered with HP Enterprise Services in a managed services and reseller agreement. The vendor's Network Storage Server (NSS) software will be used to create disaster recovery and business continuity offerings for HP Business Continuity & Recovery Services (BCRS) customers.

Emulex samples Pilot 3 iBMC
Emulex has begun sampling the latest release of its Pilot integrated Baseboard Management Controllers (iBMC). Pilot 3 iBMC is now available to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with general availability planned for the second half of 2011. Pilot 3 iBMC is a lights-out management controller.

Infortrend adds FC and iSCSI to EonStor entry level
Networked storage vendor Infortrend has announced that Fibre Channel connectivity (FC) and iSCSI is available in several of its new entry-level EonStor DS storage systems. The EonStor DS system is designed to enable SMEs to deploy mission-critical applications on FC SAN whilst configuring remote replication via iSCSI-based data transmission over Ethernet.
