Metro bank latest to get Trusteer security

Karl Flinders

Metro Bank has become the latest bank to offer its customers security software from Trusteer which prevents hackers accessing online banking sessions via browsers.

The UK's newest bank joins the likes of HSBC and Santander in offering online customers free Rapport software from Trusteer. The software creates a secure tunnel between the user and the website to ensure that malware cannot intercept.

HSBC and Santander started offering customers the Trusteer Rapport software free last year.

Craig Donaldson, CEO at Metro Bank, says, "We take the security of our customers very seriously and that means we have the best security components available."
