More companies will hire senior sales and marketing roles in IT this year as the private sector increases employment budgets, claims recruitment specialist Executive Headhunters.
More than 93,000 IT sales and marketing roles are expected to be created over the next four years, said the firm.
Since the beginning of the year, Executive Headhunters said it has seen a three-fold increase in the number of organisations looking to hire senior level professionals.
The increased demand could drive up the salaries of those roles, said managing director Phil Sharp.
"Experienced professionals across all levels are in demand, but those in senior positions are already finding themselves a highly attractive proposition and can command higher salaries. Some candidates can effectively cherry-pick the companies the work for," he said.
