Facebook founder Zuckerberg to give away most of his money

Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of Facebook, has pledged to give away most of his wealth.

He is the latest billionaire to sign up to the Giving Pledge group founded by Bill Gates and his wife and Warren Buffett, which encourages the wealthy to publicly promise to donate to charity.

"With a generation of younger folks who have thrived on the success of their companies, there is a big opportunity for many of us to give back earlier in our lifetime and see the impact of our philanthropic efforts," said Zuckerberg.

The Facebook founder is estimated to be worth $6.9bn (£4.4bn). Earlier this year, Zuckerberg gave away $100m in shares to schools in New Jersey.
