Brendan Flattery will become Sage UK CEO from January 1 2011, when current UK head Paul Stobart becomes CEO of Sage Northern Europe.

Flattery joined Sage in 2003. Over the past seven years he has been managing director for accounts, mid market division and is currently managing director for the small business division.

The decision was announced at the company preliminary results meeting this week. Sales at the company for the year ended September 30 remained static pre-tax profits grew by 14% to £355.7m, compared to last year.
