Kathleen Hall

Clothing company VF, which owns brands such as Wrangler and Lee, has signed a seven-year contract with IT outsourcing provider CSC.

Under the agreement, CSC will provide network, distributed computing and datacentre management services.

The transition from VF's current IT services provider to CSC is expected to be completed by the end of August 2011.

The deal follows recent results from CSC, which reported second quarter sales of $4bn, in line with analysts expectations and roughly unchanged compared with revenue in the same quarter last year.
