Domino's Pizza has said it hired a new IT director as part or a series of new appointments to its senior management team.

Colin Rees has joined the company from online retailer Figleaves.com, where acted as IT director for about six months. Prior to that, he spent several years at easyJet, most recently as head of software delivery.

Rees was placed by recruitment agent Silver Stone Search and Selection.

According to Domino's, the new IT executive brings with him "a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of IT in both front and back of house applications"'

Rees replaces previous IT director Jane Kimberlin, who worked for the company for about four years and left in May to set up a consultancy business.

The news of the appointment follows positive results for the firm, with web sales reaching 40% of all delivered orders in the last quarter.
