Application compatibility firm Changebase AOK has created a series of plug-ins to solve incompatible app issues in Microsoft Office 2010.
Based on analysis of 2,600 third-party application packages, the plug-ins could reduce costs, speed up the migration process and save time on manual testing, said Changebase AOK.

"We have found that an Office 2010 migration - particularly from Office 2000, XP or 2003 - can actually be more complex than a complete OS upgrade," said John Tate, managing director of Changebase AOK.
"With global trend towards organisations opting to coincide their migration to Office 2010 with an upgrade to Windows 7, it is vital that all business-critical applications are tested and fixed where necessary.
"Thinking ahead, it is those businesses that can create a clean and high quality application portfolio today that will benefit from significantly easier migrations in the future," he added.
The plug-ins support the integration of customised business applications and migration from older versions of Office, such as 2000, XP and 2003.
