The Metropolitan Police Service is to spend £32m on a four-year
framework supply deal for equipment to help with forensic analysis
of digital devices.
The Official Journal of the European Union says the Met wants
the equipment to cover computers, mobile and fixed-line phones,
mobile cell sites, analogue and digital sound recordings, and video
recordings.
Also included are PDAs, digital cameras, hard drives, DVDs, CDs
and memory cards.
Closing date for tenders is noon on 28 October, but the Met
expects to publish further tender notices in 2012.
