Software used by Aviva to provide immediate answers to HR
inquirieshas helped the insurance giant
answer thousands of questions from staff during its global
rebranding excercise.
The system, which was installed in 2007, helped the company
communicate with staff when it re-branded from Norwich Union to
Aviva. In one day it successfully answered 7,000 questions from
staff about the re-branding exercise.
Aviva is now looking to use the AskHR software, from
Transversal,
in other regions of the world.
Common subjects covered are holiday entitlement,
maternity/paternity leave policies, redundancy and sickness
absence. The company answered a total of 202,000 questions in 2009
and more than 90% of the people asking questions were satisfied
with the answers they received, Aviva said.
The system is available on the Aviva intranet.
"AskHR has helped us to radically improve the service HR
provides to employees within Aviva," said Catherine Tausney, head
of HR advice services at Aviva. "As it has grown in size and scope,
it is not just helping day-to-day operations but is underpinning
the communication of major change across Aviva."
