Cloud computing specialist NetSuite said its campaign to
target rival Sage appears to be having some impact after announcing
customer wins.
The supplier has been
running various campaigns to poach Sage resellers and customers
over the course of this year, arguing that it has a stronger cloud
proposition for those users looking for a business management
product.
Revenue for NetSuite's third quarter, which ended 30 September,
reached $41.7m and it turned a net loss of $1.7m at this stage last
year into a profit of $348,000.
Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite, said it had managed to grow its
customer base at a higher rate than it had in other recent quarters
and again took a swipe at its rivals.
"Our customer wins and new SuiteCloud partnerships indicate
customers are running from legacy applications like SAP and
Microsoft Great Plains to NetSuite's cloud computing offerings," he
said.
