North Korea blamed for attacks on US and South Korea

North Korea was responsible for major cyber-attacks on websites in South Koreaand the US, according to South Korea's spy chief.

According to a Reuters report, South Korea's spy boss Won Sei-hoon said North Korea's communications ministry was behind the attacks, which took place in July.

The attacks crashed systems and infected computers with malware in the US and South Korea.

The Yonhap news agency reported that South Korea's spy chief Won Sei-hoon said: " The attacks on Korean and US Internet sites were traced back to circuits originating in China. North Korea's communications ministry has been confirmed as leasing the line."
