Oracle plans to improve itsJava development tools, by providing integrated and
pluggable tools for Java, service oriented architecture and Web 2.0
application development.
Oracle's Java tools strategy features in future releases of
Oracle JDeveloper 11g, Oracle Application Development Framework
(ADF) 11g, Oracle WebLogic Suite 11g, Oracle SOA Suite 11g and
Oracle WebCenter Suite 11g, components of Oracle Fusion
Middleware.
The next release of Oracle JDeveloper will support standards and
programming frameworks including Maven, JavaScript Object Notation
Language (JSON), Facelets, UML 2.0 and Eclipse key mappings
For mobile developers, Oracle said its ADF Mobile Client will
support native development for BlackBerry and Windows mobile
applications.
Oracle is also adding a component to enable developers to build
iTunes-like user interfaces in their applications.
