Steve Ballmer is due in the UK next week as part of the Windows
7 launch programme but he might not be spending as much on
souvenirs after having a 5.5% pay cut.
An SEC filing made last night revealed that the CEO of Microsoft
saw a drop in his pay packet.
For the fiscal year ending 30 June 2009 Ballmer earned
$1,276,627 which is down on his earnings last year.
Although Ballmer's salary of $665,833 was up, his bonus was cut
by $100,000.
Along with most of suppliers, Microsoft has frozen executive pay
for the fiscal year 2010 in reaction to the economic climate.
For the first time Microsoft had to report a drop in annual
revenue figures in fiscal 2009 along with a drop in operating
profit by 9% to $20.4 billion.
