Trend Micro has launched aWeb Gateway Securityproduct, which adds reporting to
the company's InterScan Web Security Virtual Appliance.
The product provides malware scanning, policy administration and
dynamic reporting, allowing web administrators to gain visibility
into their company's web activities.
Trend Micro said the gateway offers access to real-time
information, allowing administrators to run URL filtering and see
user activity on the corporate network.
In a recent Trend Micro survey, three-quarters of the 200 IT
managers questioned admitted that they were concerned about
unauthorised online activities at work. Nearly 70% of them would go
as far as prohibiting, to an extent, access to certain websites,
such as shopping and social media sites.
Aimed at medium and larger businesses, the Trend Micro Web
Gateway Security appliance costs £24.81 per user (for 26-50
users).
