The UK managing director ofSagefielded
questions from resellers and analysts onTwitterthis
lunchtime.
Paul Stobart was quizzed by resellers on Sage's plans for
launching its online application and on his views about the general
state of the accounting software market.
He revealed that Sage could expand in the current downturn,
saying, "Acquisition remains on our agenda, but only if conditions
and price are right."
Stobart said market conditions were leading customers to lean on
the supplier for more help with cash flow forecasting, business
planning and HR advice.
When asked if he would tweet again and encourage other senior
managers to communicate with partners via the social networking
service, he said, "Why not? I'm having a blast."
In one of the more unusual questions - "What would be your
weapon of choice should the zombie apocalypse kick off later this
afternoon?" - Stobart said he would deploy a cricket bat.
