An IT worker in Texas will spend two-years in jail and
another three years under supervision after admitting to hacking
computer systems and deleting information on her former employer's
network.
She
pleaded guilty to unauthorised computer access at her previous
employer, a not for profit organ and tissue donation centre, where
she was employed as an IT director until her contract was
terminated in 2005.
Following an FBI investigation, Danielle Duann, 51, of Houston
was sentenced in the Southern District of Texas. She admitted to
deleting database records, accounting invoice files, database and
accounting software applications and various back-up files, without
authorisation.
She is being forced to pay $94,222 in compensation to her former
employer, LifeGift Organ Donation Center.
