Orange is to cut 370 jobs in the UK to reduce costs.
The mobile operator, which is part of France Telecom, said there
will be about 100 redundancies, with the rest of the reduction
coming from a combination of getting rid of unfilled posts,
attrition and efficiency reviews.
A company spokesperson said: "The company is acutely aware of
the difficult economic conditions around us, which makes it even
more important to ensure that we keep our focus on the appropriate
levels of administration, minimising bureaucracy, stopping
duplication and maintaining structural efficiency."
