Samsung is reporting that its jet phone has had over two
million pre-orders, which is double the number of Apple iPhones
sold in its launch weekend.
The phone, which has been hailed as a direct competitor to
Apples latest iPhone, has already had two million pre-orders,
according to website Telecoms Korea.
The Jet has a 800MHz processor and a 3.1-inch touch screen.
This compares to
one million iPhones sold in three days when it was launched
last weekend. Apple's CEO Steve Jobs said: "Customers are voting
and the iPhone is winning. With over 50,000 applications available
from Apple's revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger
than ever."
The Jet phone is not iPhone's only challenger.
Nokia started shipping its latest flagship mobile computer, the
N97, to more than 75 countries this month.
