British American Tobacco has
signed a new £2m a year IT services contract with Parity.
The deal, until 2011, extends a ten-year relationship between
the firms.
The new agreement will improve the value of service for British
American Tobacco (BAT) with a "reshaped engagement model for
service provision".
Under the terms of the contract,
Parity will provide IT
services and application support for a fixed fee of £1m a year. In
addition, Parity will deliver application development projects and
consultancy services worth an estimated £1m each year.
Parity currently supports 45 BAT applications and undertakes
around 40 additional projects each year.
These additional projects are based around Parity's
collaborative and information management systems, which include
developing and supporting BAT's management information and business
intelligence systems, building web portals for document management,
and providing consultancy to implement business process change.
"Over the past ten years, Parity has proven that it can add
value to our business by delivering high quality projects and
services," said Lee Hazell, GSD UK customer services manager at
BAT. "We are confident that this relationship will continue to
enhance our IT systems and processes."
