Atos Origin has announced a net annual income of €23m
for 2008, compared with €48m for 2007.
The IT services provider also reported a slight drop in revenue,
down to €5.6m from €5.8m in 2007.
The company said that in 2009, its priority is "the improvement
of the operational performance in a tough economic
environment".
The board had already decided not to pay shareholders a dividend
in 2009 on the 2008 accounts.
Chairman and CEO Thierry Breton said, "Despite solid growth,
especially of our recurring activities, and an 11% increase of our
operating margin, Atos Origin's operational performance remained at
4.8%, below the benchmark of our competitors.
"Atos Origin has taken the decisions and the actions in order to
face the very strong economic slowdown, but also to increase
significantly its operating margin in 2009."
