Average Advertised IT Salaries - by year

Salary growth for IT staff began to slow in 2008 for many roles, as shown by the figures below from the SSL / Computer Weekly survey.

Some roles, such as systems development manager and project manager, even saw a decline in wages. As demand starts to slow and competition for roles increases, salaries growth could fall further in 2009.
