President Barack Obama has won the battle to keep his
Blackberry, or some other smartphone device.
Because of security concerns and the Presidential Records Act -
which demands that a record of all administration communications
are kept - Obama's Blackberry was under threat.
Obama insisted he needed his Blackberry to keep in touch with
"the real world", particularly close friends and family.
It is
now
reported that US Secret Service and the National Security
Agency have found a way to help the president keep his device,
without breaking security and breaching the Presidential Records
Act.
Top-secret encryption techniques will be brought into play to
keep his personal messages protected whilst he is in transit.
Presumably Obama's roaming signal sent from his Blackberry will
also be blocked from prying eyes too.
