Fujitsu Services UK chief executive Dave Courtley has
resigned. Executive chairman Richard Christou has taken hold of the
reins while a search for a successor takes place.
Courtley joined the Japanese-owned integrator as chief
operations officer in 2001 and became the CEO in 2004.
A spokesman at
Fujitsu Services confirmed Courtley had resigned prior to
Christmas, insisting his departure was amicable.
"He had been with us as chief executive for five years and, as
many chief executives often do, he felt the time was right to move
on," the spokesman said, dismissing suggestions that Courtley had
left amid a spat with management as "wild speculation".
Fujitsu Services said business was tough, but the
outlook for companies that supply essential IT services
remained comparatively positive.
