Wales will get what is described as its first disaster recovery
centre next week.
Adam Continuity, a provider of business continuity and disaster
recovery services to local government and commercial organisations,
will officially open Wales' first disaster recovery operations
centre next Friday (23 January).
Wayne David, MP for Caerphilly and deputy minister for digital
inclusion, will attend the open day at the new office at Duffryn
Business Park, Ystrad Mynach, Mid-Glamorgan.
Philip Caulfield, managing director of
Adam Continuity, said, "Until
now, government bodies, financial organisations and other offices
have had to relocate to centres in Bristol or even farther afield
in England in the event of a disaster. Clearly, this is
inconvenient and time-consuming to employers, employees, customers
and clients.
"This new facility offers desks, computers and telephones for
their staff, who can simply move in and be up and running - within
Wales - in the space of a few hours."
