Who is your ideal IT superhero? Who would you want to fight the
image of the geeky IT pro?
In September, ComputerWeekly.com and IT training company
Firebrand
launched a nationwide search to find
the next
generation of IT superheroes.
We were looking for men and women who were not just technically
sound, but were passionate about the IT industry and who would make
great role models and ambassadors for the industry.
Each of our six shortlisted finalists produced a video pitch for
why should vote on them being an IT superhero.... well now you have
cast your votes and made your choice. Click on each winner's name
to watch the video again.
Congratulations to Toby Brown our
overall IT superhero, who received the most online votes, and to
our two runner-ups, Chris Lowden and Robert Howard.
Toby, who works for Italian achitectural lightening company
iGuzzini,
told ComputerWeekly.com that he was proud to be voted our IT
superhero and he hoped his
video captured the spirit of the competition. "I tried to show
the things that happen in our daily lives that rely on software and
computers . IT is not all code and cold pizza, there are a lot of
great things we do with it too."
