UK users can expect to get the Microsoft "out of cycle" Internet Explorer patch from 6pm tonight.
Although Microsoft initially said only around 0.2% of Internet Explorer users had been exposed to the security flaw from visiting one of 10,000 infected websites, the patch issued today is deemed as "critical" by the company.
A critical rating means users could become victims of a vulnerability without any prior operating action by them - apart from visiting a dodgy website using corporate equipment, that is.
So far, most infected users have been IE7 users, but all Internet Explorer versions are potentially at risk.
