Fujitsu Siemens Computers is introducing a range of enterprise laptops whose data can be locked down when they are lost or stolen.
The machines can also be traced by IT administrators if they are reconnected to the web after they go missing.
The DataProtect and SystemTrack software will be available to purchase on subscription with various Lifebook and Esprimo laptops from the first quarter of next year.
Pricing for the security software has yet to be confirmed. Security software firms already offer similar tracking and data lock down technologies for laptops and mobile gadgets.
