Monmouthshire County Council has launched a new website to
provide "customer driven" online services.
The council said its previous website did not have the necessary
flexibility, functionality or accessibility capabilities.
Monmouthshire has hired a new web partner to provide "intuitive"
search of council services, including Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQ) and a better search engine.
A key additional requirement was to identify a
content management system that could provide a "customer
driven" service interface, enabling the navigation and content to
be structured from the customer perspective rather than service
driven.
The council selected Jadu and its content management system Jadu
CMS to overhaul the site.
"An appealing factor of Jadu is the range of additional
enterprise modules available. The ability to hook into these at a
later stage will ensure that Monmouthshire is able to provide a
modern, cost effective, local government website now and well into
the future," said Hayley Jones, Monmouthshire e-government
officer.
