The University of
Westminster is deploying the online Google Apps productivity
suite to more than 25,000 students to save money and give students
greater flexibility.
The university has a Microsoft-based productivity system for
staff and will carry on using Microsoft Outlook for email.
With Google Apps, Westminster says it is responding to student
demand for web-based tools that can be used on any device.
The Westminster-hosted roll-out of Google Apps is expected to be
completed by the end of the year.
