Google has released an updated beta version of its
Chrome web browser to tackle bugs, security flaws and
performance issues.
The latest release, which will automatically be distributed to
users over the next few days, comes after a
beta developer version of the browser was released to stop the
browser crashing.
The latest beta version is aimed at a wider audience. "Google
Chrome version 0.3.154.9 fixes the top issues we have heard about
from people using the beta release, especially with plug-ins - the
programs that show video on sites like YouTube," said Mark Larson,
Google Chrome program manager.
"This release also fixes an issue with address spoofing in
pop-ups. A site could convince a user to click a link to open a
pop-up window. The window's address bar could be manipulated to
show a different address than the actual origin of the content,"
said Larson.
