Oracle has released two separate Oracle AIA Foundation Packs for
Industries, covering the utilities and insurance sectors.
The Foundation Packs deliver industry-specific object and
service components, industry best practice processes and other
modified governance tools and components.
Oracle AIA Foundation Packs enable companies to unify their
application portfolio through flexible composite business
processes. It helps companies standardise processes by making all
applications work as one unified product on an open,
standards-based platform. It makes no difference if the
applications are from Oracle, third-party or custom-developed.
Oracle's AIA Insurance Foundation Pack enables insurance
companies to accelerate application integration, especially between
claims and financial systems in order to process claim payments,
set up claim reserves and pursue outstanding debt.
It also facilitates integration with policy administration and
other systems, from Oracle or a third-party.
The first release of Oracle AIA Utilities Foundation Pack
industry includes industry-specific enterprise business objects, a
complete set of activity-based industry process models and other
modified horizontal enterprise business services and objects.
Utilities customers can use Oracle AIA Utilities Foundation Pack
to facilitate integration design and enable composite business
processes, including concept to launch, order to bill, meter to
cash and customer self service, said Oracle.
