Telegraph Media Group migrates journalists to
cheaper Google Apps
Telegraph Media Group (TMG) is migrating away from Microsoft
apps to use Google's cheaper online applications among its
journalists.
Daily Telegraph staff and
others will now use Google's applications to access e-mail and
share documents.
The partnership follows a six month trial of Google's products.
Telegraph CIO Paul Cheesbrough said the move would support TMG's
ongoing
cloud computing model for accessing business apps.
He said the apps would be particularly useful for journalists
and commercial staff when they're on the move or working outside of
main TMG offices.
The TMG move follows a similar move by construction group Taylor
Woodrow.
