Cisco plans to reshuffle its top UK management line-up.

The move is expected to result in the departure of UK and Ireland boss Duncan Mitchell, says CRN, which learned of the changes through a leaked e-mail from the company

CRN says Mitchell has accepted a position within Cisco's emerging markets business. He will be replaced by Phil Smith, who is currently vice-president of technology and corporate marketing.

Cisco UK and Ireland channels managing director John Donovan is moving across to the direct sales business to take leadership of the enterprise and mid-market business.

The changes will be effective from 1 August, the start of Cisco's financial year.
