Nominations are now open for the
E-Government National
Awards 2008.
The awards are designed to highlight the best UK services that
are improving citizen and business services at councils, central
government, the NHS, and the education and voluntary sectors.
The organisers say there will be a focus this year on services
that help deliver a more inclusive society and those that make use
of green IT.
Now in their fifth year,
the annual E-Government National Awards are supported by the
government chief information officer, the Society of Information
Technology Management (Socitm), and the Society of Local Authority
Chief Executives and Senior Managers (Solace).
Judging is chaired by government CIO John Suffolk, and the
awards will be presented at a black-tie dinner in London for 500
VIPs on 20 January 2009.
Entry is free and online nominations are invited until 1st
October at:
