HP has launched 17 new notebook computers and refreshed and updated a variety of other PC products.

The move includes the new HP TouchSmart All-in-One desktop, a new generation of touch-enabled PC.

A tap or swipe of a finger lets people engage with photos, music, video, games, the internet, television and more, said HP.

The 17 new notebooks range from value-based Compaq machines to premium HP products and ultra-mobile Voodoo offerings.

In addition, a breakthrough display, co-developed by HP colour scientists and DreamWorks Animation animators, can bring more than a billion colours into view.
