The fear of technology not working is the biggest fear for
British small businesses, with electronic crime not causing much
concern.
Research covering almost 600 firms employing fewer than 50
people showed that attitudes to
operational business anxieties were dominated by
technology.
The research, commissioned by security software firm Trend
Micro, saw 42% of respondents cite technology not working as their
biggest fear.
The same figure said difficult clients and suppliers increased
their anxiety, along with heavy workloads (30%), tight deadlines
(26%) and long hours (19%).
When questioned about business-related crime, only 10% expressed
concern about the loss of confidential data.
And when asked about electronic crime, 83% said they had not
been a victim of electronic crime in the last 12 months.
