Venters Solicitors saves £50,000 a year with digital dictation workflow system

Legal aid firm Venters Solicitors has saved £50,000 in 12 months by implementing digital dictation workflow software.
The firm said the savings equate to more than £3,000 for each fee-earner per year because of improved workflow.
Venters has also improved the ratio of fee earners to administration staff from 12:8 to 16:6, enabling an increase in productivity without replacing staff who have left.
The digital dictation workflow system from BigHand enables all administration staff in the firm's two typing pools to access all dictations and share the workload.
Mike Chapman, practice manager at Venters Solicitors, said, "With legal aid moving to a fixed fee structure, it is vital for us to increase our overall productivity."
