Almost half of SME owners say they have won extra business as a result of being in touch while on the move.

A survey of 150 UK SME owners commissioned by BlackBerry mobile device maker RIM, showed that 48% had won extra business.

The Ipsos MORI poll revealed 71% of SME owners are out of the office two or more times a week.

Despite the wider use of electronic communications, nearly a third of respondents said they preferred writing letters to clients.
